Andrew C. Clarke
Andrew Clarke is a partner at Borod & Kramer in Memphis, Tennessee,
a plaintiff’s firm specializing in civil rights, personal injury,
product liability, workers compensation, and police misconduct litigation
cases.
He has successfully represented plaintiffs in many high-speed pursuit,
hog-tie, and excessive force cases. Additionally, he has written
or co-authored several Amicus Curiae Briefs in similar cases.
Clarke frequently lectures on police pursuit and police restraint
procedures and has authored or co-authored numerous articles on these
topics.
Clarke has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National
Police Accountability Project (NPAP) since 2001. In addition,
he is a member of the ACLU and the Tennessee Trial Lawyer Association
(TTLA). During 2002 and 2003, Clarke served as the chair of
the Civil Rights Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America
(ATLA).
In 1992, Clarke received his Juris Doctorate from Cecil C. Humphrey’s
School of Law. Prior to receiving his law degree, he earned
a Bachelor of Arts in History from Davidson College (1988) and a
Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International
University (1989).
