David Gespass

David Gespass graduated from the American University Washington College of Law in 1970 where he was the first president of the law school's National Lawyers Guild (NLG) chapter.  He worked for one year with the Lawyers Guild's Military Law Office in Japan and Okinawa.  Upon return to the United States, he helped found the NLG Military Law Task Force. 

For the past twenty-five years, Gespass has maintained a general practice in Birmingham, Alabama.  He is a former NLG southern regional vice-president and has served for four years on the editorial board of the Guild Practitioner, the Guild's theoretical journal.  In 2004, Gespass, "ascended" to the position of editor-in-chief of the journal.  He has been a member of the NPAP Advisory Board since its founding.
