Michael J. Haddad  Vice-President

 

Michael J. Haddad is an AV rated attorney and a partner in Haddad & Sherwin, in Oakland, California.  The majority of his practice is related to representing plaintiffs in police misconduct and other civil rights litigation, including wrongful police shootings, wrongful death, excessive force, and municipal liability.  Mr. Haddad has successfully tried and handled numerous police misconduct and civil rights cases in federal and state courts, including a $1.2 million verdict in the Eastern District of California for the wrongful death shooting of a mentally ill man, a $3.5 million settlement for the family of a police officer killed by “friendly fire,” and several injunctive relief settlements to improve police department policies and procedures.  Mr. Haddad also currently serves as Vice-President of the National Police Accountability Project (NPAP), and is a panel attorney for Bay Area Police Watch (BAPW).  Previously, Mr. Haddad was a partner in the firm of Goodman, Eden, Millender & Bedrosian, in Detroit, Michigan.  He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1991.
